A British adventurer has completed a heroic 14,600-mile flight from the UK to Australia.
Tracey Curtis Taylor, 53, set off in her 1942 Boeing training biplane from Farnborough, Hampshire, in October. She retraced pioneer Amy Johnson’s 1930 flight, flying over 23 countries and making some 50 refuelling stops. After landing in Sydney she posted on Twitter a "huge adventure ended". Ms. Curtis Taylor thanked everyone that supported her.
Though driving alone, she had a support team of engineers travelling with her in a separate aircraft, as well as a camera crew, who would sometimes sit in with her. She admitted she had "flown into a rage several times dealing with people on the ground" during frequent refuelling stops, but "the flying has been marvelous." On flying, Ms. Curtis Taylor said: "You never want to stop, it is absolutely addictive, it is so thrilling and exciting."
1 How did Ms. Taylor accomplish her flight?
2 What happened to Ms. Taylor during the flight?

选项 A、She operated her aircraft single-handed.
B、She followed Boeing’s commercial route.
C、She drove an old aircraft sponsored by Boeing.
D、She stopped occasionally to repair aircraft.

答案A

解析 题目询问Ms.Taylor怎样完成飞行。新闻中有明确提到她是独自驾驶飞机的(drive alone),A中的single-handed指“独自完成的”,与新闻中的drive alone同义,故A为本题答案。
