Is a Diploma Everything?
选项
答案
Is a Diploma Everything? Nowadays there is a widely held belief that diploma is everything. Some people will gain a higher diploma at all costs, and others force their children to get a higher diploma. This phenomenon can be explained by at least two reasons. On the one hand, people believe a higher diploma can guarantee a prosperous future, such as successful careers and respectable positions. On the other hand, the diploma people hold is attached to too much importance. Having a diploma is a precondition for people to do almost everything, for example, to find a job, to have a date with a girl. In my opinion, it is no doubt that diploma is important, because it shows a person’s academic level and ability. However, a diploma cannot prove everything, no matter how high a diploma is. A higher diploma can only tell others that the holder has received this kind of education. As for whether he or she is competent in working and whether he or she is virtuous, these still remain as questions.
