问题 Listen to the following dialogue and interpret it as required. After you hear a sentence or a short passage in Chinese, interpret it into English by speaking into the microphone. After you hear a sentence or a short passage in English, interpret it into Chinese. Start interpreting at the signal and stop at the signal. You may take notes while you are listening. You will hear the dialogue only once. Now let’s begin.
B: Working as a National Geographic explorer, I think, is the best job in the world. We get to go to amazing places all over the world and to document them and share these stories with the rest of the world.
B: When I worked with James Cameron on Ghosts of the Abyss, my job was to build battery packs that help to explore the Titanic, and I used our robots to explore and help take images inside of Titanic. That’s when I realized I can combine these two things, my passions for both engineering and for the photography.
B: It was extremely difficult because you are in a vast unknown territory, exploring. Let me put it this way. If we had a problem back in my lab, I could come up with ten ways to fix it. But when you’re in the field and something goes wrong, you have to use what is available to you and improvise.
B: Correct. We just 3D-scan the entire place, and then build up a whole copy of that place in virtual reality. I really hope that there should be minimum disruptions to those places so that people 100 years from now can continue the research and conservation with even better technology. As the saying goes, "take only photographs and leave only footprints".

选项

答案A: You are an explorer at the National Geographic magazine, exploring the world and developing new technologies to see the world in a different light. You must have had many fascinating experiences. Can you describe a little bit what your job is like? A: Photography is always your love, but you first worked in electrical engineering and computer science, mostly in artificial intelligence. And I heard that you worked with the famous director James Cameron. So how did you come to work as a National Geographic explorer? A: Ghosts of the Abyss was also aired on China’s video websites and was well received by Chinese audience. And you are the unsung hero this whole time! I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like filming Titanic at the bottom of the sea 3800 meters deep! A: So the resulting dazzling film we the audience get to watch comes from you having worked through tons of problems and challenges in the field. I also note that you are very environment-conscious. You always have local environment in your mind. Unlike archaeologists, you don’t take anything.
