So I asked a street-cleaner this question. To my surprise, she said they did not know about that. Even if they knew, they had no room for the leaves. Therefore, it seemed to them the only way to get rid of dead leaves was to burn them. Scientists say that smoke may lead to cancer. It is also known that leaves make very good fertilizer. But if we burn them, they not only pollute the air, but do harm to people. Thus I think it would be better to collect the dry leaves for fields instead of burning them.
