May I have the attention of all students? We are about to have the running test. This test is necessary for anyone who would like to apply for a lifeguard certificate. The test will include one-hundred meter runs. The necessary time for-successful completion of the test in one minute for both runs. The first run will start in three minutes at the starting line. We will have to have two separate sets of tests. If you have not already signed up with one of the coaches and received your running number, then you must do so right now. there will be a five-minute break between the first run and the second run. You should remember that the second run will also require a qualifying time of less than one minute, so yon should use the five minutes to catch your breath as much as you can. All of the successful applicants will receive a card certifying them to apply for the lifeguard position with the Department of Parks and Recreation. If you lose the card, you will have to take the test again, so please hold on to it. Also remember that those of you who want to take the basic medical safety test need to stay late.
