答案 The aim of this report is to take some steps to tackle the loss of market share over the past two quarters. We need to change this negative situation by adopting radical methods that can assure a return to higher profitability. The sales results have been unsatisfactory for a variety of reasons.To begin with,the company designers have become too conservative.and our products have nOt been attractive to customers.In addition,management has nOt been flexible enough and this has resulted in the limited range of our products.Furthermore,our rivals have lowered their prices,taking over a large number of pricesensitive customers.As for our customers,the majority are young adults who have low purchasing power,normally because they have spent all their savings on buying their first flat. It is clear that new methods of promoting sales are necessary.We should employ younger and more oreative designers,so that we will have a more diversified and attractive product range.We could launch flatpack selfassembly furniture at trade fairs,for example,to attract our younger,price.conscious clientele.Furthermore,we should consider producing with different materials and at different prices so that customers of different purchasing ability can get value fOr their money.Finally we should investigate the possibility of setting up a purchase by instalment system,with the option of zero percent credit over short periods.
