No Smoking in Public Places
选项
答案
No Smoking in Public Places The "No Smoking in Public Places" regulation has been announced by the government earlier. People welcome it because it will protect non-smokers from passive smoking which has caused numerous health problems. Despite the benefits, it is no easy task to enforce this regulation. Who will be responsible for stopping people from smoking in public? Will public smokers be fined or given other forms of punishment? Also, there will be resistance from the large smoking population whose freedom of smoking will be significantly restrained. I think the most effective way to create a nicotine-free environment would be to persuade smokers to quit smoking all together. The media should help promote the idea by reporting smoking-related diseases all the time. As for those who are not ready to give up the habit, it is important for them to realize that smoking in public places is not a personal matter but a public one. After all, it is up to the smokers to eliminate smoking in public places.
