Woman: Yes, our turnover is up to one hundred and forty-six million pounds, that’s a thirty-four million pound increase.
Man: Is that due to the merger I’ve read about?
Woman: That’s right. We now own Barrington Outdoor Equipment...
Man: That’s spelt...?
Woman: B-A-double-R-I-N-G-T-O-N.
Man: Thanks. It’s been a good year for camping equipment, then?
Woman: Yes. Our new tent, the Rainaway, has sold well.
Man: Sorry...?
Woman: Rainaway. That’s R-A-I-N-A-W-A-Y.
Man: Oh, I see... thanks. Is it sold in all your stores in the UK?
Woman: Yes. It is now. To begin with, it was only available in our ten London stores but now it’s sold in our hundred and seventy outlets throughout Britain.
Man: How many of those opened this year?
Woman: Well, we opened twelve between the first of March and the thirtieth of September, and there’ll be another eleven opening in the New Year.
Man: Your original market was women’s sports clothing. How are sales there?
Woman: Excellent - they represent forty-five per cent of our clothing sales - that’s up from thirty per cent eighteen months ago.., a fifteen per cent rise.
Man: Great. I think I have everything I need now...
