Proposal for improving restaurant services Introduction As requested by the Sales Manager, I have investigated the problems concerning the services of our restaurant. In particular, I was asked to investigate the complaints by customers recently and to make recommendations on how best to improve the situation. Findings Surveys have been made about the situation and some problems are found about the low-quality services recently. First, because the business is good recently, some of the newcomers are not trained thoroughly before going on duty, they are not quite acquainted with their jobs. Second, the air-conditioners in the second floor are too old to work well, and the idea of buying new ones hasn’t been approved yet. Those problems have annoyed many customers and the tide of patronage dropped a little recently. Therefore, it is urgent that the current problems be solved. Recommendations Following the findings of the survey, I strongly recommend that the following measures be taken: First, new staff should be instructed with all the procedures at work and should be familiar with their jobs before going into positions. Second, regulations for approval should be simplified so that first things should be done first. Third, some activities should be promoted to attract regular customers. I believe with all these measures taken, we can win back the customers’ trust.
