How long has the Indonesian forest been on fire?

Economic experts now estimate that the Indonesian forest fires which have been blazing intimately for nearly a year could cost the region up to six billion dollars. Some, include direct losses, such as agricultural output and indirect costs like medical bills and a drop in tourism. Figures were arrived at by the world-wide Fund for Nature and Research Group funded by Western governments, the economy and the environment program for Southeast Asia.
