问题 President Bush said US forces will remain in Iraq until ______.

In Washington, President Bush said again, Wednesday US forces will remain in Iraq until it’s free country run by the Iraqi people. And in Iraq, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said attacks on united forces will not succeed in getting those forces to leave the country before security is established. Bush administration officials say the White House may make a decision shortly on sending US peacekeeping troops as part of a multi-national peacekeeping force to help end Liberia’s deadly civil war. Washington has come under intense international presure to do something about the fighting which killed hundreds of civilians in Liberia’s capital last week. White House spokesman says there are indications that the Bush administration would like to settle the issue before the President leaves Monday on a 5-day African tour. Mr. Bush expressed concern for the suffering of the Liberian people Wednesday and again called for Librian President Charles Taylor to step down in the interest of peace. In Liberia, President Taylor signaled a willingness to leave, but to leave on terms, on his schedule.
