答案 Mutual understanding plays a very important role in making friends, communication, even the international cooperation. Often, we find it difficult to understand and more difficult to be understood in our daily life. So, it is well acknowledged that understanding can bring harmony to the world. As is symbolically shown in the picture, it is like a bridge that connects cliffs to be a road. Sure enough, since the world is more and more varied, to understand each other has been the prime quality. Perhaps in today’s society no one cares more about understanding each other than the old and the young generations. Always rebellious , young people are turning to be rather odd. They prefer strange things such as air-conditioned jeans, howling music and tattoo. Their parents, growing up with country music, are quite repugnant to see all these off-beat behaviors. Usually, they come to the conclusion that the young are getting wild. But things are like the bridge in the picture. Young people are really seeking for an identity in this colorful world. If they don’t go too far as to be isolated in the society, their parents may recognize much originality from them. Understanding is really powerful. But the power lies in knowing others and acknowledging their differences. The best way to understand others is to learn to be a little more tolerant, we’ll see variety instead of discord and rebellion. Where there is understanding, there is a way.
