When you’re invited to someone’s home for a meal, it’s polite to bring a small gift. Flowers or candy are always nice. If you have something made in your own country, your host(主人)would certainly enjoy receiving that as a gift most.
    What do you do if you’re served a food that you don’t like or cannot eat? If your host doesn’t say anything about what you aren’t eating, then you shouldn’t, either.     Don’t leave immediately(立即)after dinner, and don’t stay too long, either. When your friends seem to be getting tired and running out of conversations, you’d better leave. The next day, call or write a thank-you note to say how much you enjoyed the evening.
