Some people like to go to the gym to do exercise. Others prefer to cycle to work and take the stairs instead of the elevator. Which way do you prefer to keep healthy? Give reasons for your opinion.

答案
In my opinion, exercise is very important whatever form it takes. However, I prefer to exercise as part of my daily lifestyle rather than going to a gym. First of all, most of us have very busy lives, with little time for going to the gym. However, if we made an effort to use our bodies rather than machines in our daily routines, for example, walking up the stairs instead of taking the elevator, then we wouldn’t need to worry about fitting in a trip to the gym. What’s more, if most of your journeys were made on foot or by bike instead of using the car or bus, you’d get brilliant exercise as well as getting to your destination. And you’d get the extra benefit of being outside and taking fresh air. Also, just think of the benefits to the environment and to the traffic problems if you left your car at home and if we didn’t use so much power relying on elevators rather than using the stairs. Overall, I think there are more benefits for all of us if we aim to change our lifestyles by walking and cycling for exercise rather than going to the gym.
