答案 Leadership, Nature vs. Nurture All talented people are endowed with many excellent skills, among which is leadership. No one would doubt the undeniable effects that this essential skill exerts in one’s road to success, but, in the meantime, people are having conflicting opinion about the origin of people’s leadership. Is it in the blood of those talented people or learnt in their later life? As for me, people acquire their leadership through learning process. To start with, many experts in different fields possess leadership for what they learn. It is because these people enjoy extensive knowledge, deep thinking, original views and special ability that make them authorities in certain fields. For instance, in an anti-virus company, the employees are definitely willing to obey the instructions from their MIT-graduated chief manager with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry concerned. Also, in an operation room, the doctors doing a very difficult brain surgery on a patient tend to ask the guidance from their director of the hospital, with the title of the winner of Nobel Prize in Medicine. Due to their knowledge which was obtained in their school years, they are admired and leadership comes to them. What’s more, remarkable eloquence, which is achieved by learning, can also generate leadership. The reason is that great lecturers are always idolized by their words full of tender affections and speeches introducing soul stirring, which brings them countless followers. The first black American President, Barack Obama serves as a great example. He was never very popular among his peers when he was young, and even failed to get along well with other children for his skin color. In order to encourage him, his mother read him the stories about Martin Luther King. After he entered the college, he practiced imitating mountains of speech materials from John Kennedy and other famous speakers, even their tones, speech speed, expressions and moves. Finally, he won the general election in the political life and the one of main reasons that American people made him their president is his eloquence. Lastly, people raised in a family with great moral values will learn to care for others and win leadership. For instance, the winner of Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, Mother Teresa is the case in point. She was born in a Catholic family and her mother’s benign behavior towards others planted the seed of kindness in her little soul. Under her mother’s guidance, she never denied a beggar and often volunteered in the slum. After traveling to India, she started her humanitarian7 activities until her last day in this world. Yes, she is nobody but a common person, but the richest companies supported her, more than 7000 full-time social workers and countless helpers in more than 100 countries followed her steps. She was respected by presidents, kings, media giants and business leaders for her noble virtues and philanthropic deeds, which was the result of her early education. All in all, leadership can be gained through consistent knowledge enrichment, persistent eloquence practice and early moral education. All these methods are learning process for sure.
