问题 The student would like to see more classes offered in which subjects?

A: Now, where do you do most of your studying?
B: Well, I like to study in my dormitory because it is convenient, but sometimes it gets too loud so I have to go to the library.
A: And which atmosphere do you find more suitable for studying?
B: Well, since my room is usually so noisy, I’d have to say that the library is a better place to study.
A: Great. Now are there any changes you would like to see in the classes offered at the university?
B: Actually I have some friends who complain about not being able to get into any art classes, like painting and sculpture because they are always so full. So maybe a few more sections of those classes, and personally I’d like to see more variety in the computer classes offered. Maybe classes in computer networking or software design.
A: OK, now if you could suggest some student activities that you would like to see more of what would they be?
B: I’d like to see more student dances where student bands could get together and perform for their friends and classmates. I’d also like to see more job fairs and career awareness days. So many of my friends are about to graduate and they have never thought twice about what kind of job they might want.
A: Wow, I’m surprised you feel that strongly about it!
B: Of course, I do.
A: Great. Now, this survey is organized by the students’ union, so I’d like to ask you what you know about the student government on campus?
B: Eh, aside from the elections in the spring I don’t really know much about it. Why, what do they do?
A: Well, all kinds of things really. We work to improve the campus for students now and in the future, we send representatives to local and national conferences and lots of other things. My question to you is, would you be interested in joining the student government and helping with the activities we plan?
B: Well, I don’t know. When do you meet?
A: We meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the student building in the center of the campus. Are you interested?
B: I am interested, it just seems like quite a big time commitment to really get involved.
A: Actually if you just show up for the meetings and offer your ideas, that will be a great help, and it would only take two and a half hours a week. If you give me your email address, I’ll send you some more information to look at.
B: Here...I’ll write it down for you.
A: Splendid...we appreciate your time and hope to see you soon.
B: Sure. Goodbye.
