答案 Failing to find the water, the worker, with a cigarette in his mouth and a sped in his hands, is leaving the holes he has dug. The five holes are of different depths, but none of deep enough to reach the water. When he dug the last hole a few inches into the earth he lost patience and concluded that there is no water where he has dug. Therefore, he decided to dig in another place. Actually, there’s a great deal of water beneath the holes. If he continues to dig a few inches more into the earth, he is sure to find the water. It was because he didn’t make unremitting efforts that he failed all. There are countless examples of the case mentioned above.
