Peter was late. His seat in the theater was in the middle of one of the rows. Half the people in the row had to rise to let him pass, and he was embarrassed to cause so much trouble. Then when he was comfortably seated, he began to worry about .whether he had turned off the lights of his car. If he hadn’t, the battery would be run down by the time the show was over.
