It is becoming popular for students to move out of their dormitories. I understand that convenience, privacy, comfort are the reasons why most students choose not to live in a dormitory. But I think the campus is better to live in. In China, living out of campus can be very expensive. In Shanghai, according to Shanghai Heli Renting House Company, it costs about 3,000 yuan per month to rent an apartment. Rents in other cities can be a little lower, but still it costs a lot of money. Undergraduate students do not have incomes, and the rents make the parents’ burden even heavier.
