Australian children are visiting social media websites at an increasingly younger age, a new survey suggests, with one in five "tweens" (children between the ages of about 10 and 14) admitting they have chatted to someone online they do not know.

"Both parents and schools are encouraged to keep a close【C18】______on their child’s online behavior to ensure they have safe online【C19】______," said Andrew Littleproud, president of McAfee Asia-Pacific.
