答案 Nowadays, millions of people flood into cities in search of jobs and better living. However, with the sharp rise in the urban population, many problems arise. Firstly, cities become increasingly crowded, putting much pressure upon transportation, housing, education, employment and so on. Secondly, a growing number of private ears emit a huge amount of carbon dioxide, leaving the air heavily polluted. What is more, the city is also threatened by an increase in crimes. All these problems have harmed the attractiveness and quality of city life. To solve the problem, on the one hand, the authorities should take effective measures to bridge the gap between the cities and the rural areas. On the other hand, more money should be spent on improving public services and facilities.
