(2) Ability Objectives ①Students can develop their ability of describing what they can do through different activities of class. ②Students can develop their ability of speaking and communication in the real situation. (3) Emotional Objective Students can foster the awareness of having hobbies and have the desire to experience new things. 2. Presentation (1) Play a guessing game with students and when the teacher acts, students guess what the teacher is doing. (2) Present new words and phrases and students read after the teacher to learn them. (3) Show the same actions again. Students use the new phrases, words and sentence structures "What can you do? " "I can…" to describe the actions. 【设计意图】通过TPR教学法,引导学生学习本节课的词汇以及对话,提高学生的听说能力。 3. (1) Practice Activity 1 : What’s missing? Do an activity called what’s missing’! The teacher asks students to remember new words and then hides one word; at the same time, the teacher asks them "what’s missing? ". Students answer the question, for example, " ’ dance’ is missing". Activity 2 : Role-play Students will work in pairs to read the dialogue and act it out in front of the class. The teacher selects the best pair and gives them some rewards. 【设计意图】利用活动一锻炼学生的观察力和反应能力,同时操练本课所学短语;利用活动二操练本课对话,提高学生的口语水平和表现力。 (2) Consolidation Make a survey The teacher creates a situation where students will have a party next week. Lead students to go around the classroom and ask their classmates with the sentence patterns they have just learned. Later the teacher invites some students to share their results. 【设计意图】通过调查活动,增进学生之间的了解,同时通过情境创设帮助学生进一步巩固本节课的句型和相关词汇,与此同时,拓展学生曾经学过的相关短语,增强英语学习的实用性。
