答案 On the Feasibility of Establishing China-Georgia Free Trade Zone According to the report by National Statistics Office of Georgia, the FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in Republic of Georgia in 2008 totaled nearly 1. 6 billion US $ , which accounts for about 12% of Georgia’s GDP. Then in 2009, the FDI in Georgia decreased sharply by 62. 5% to reach 600 million US $. From 2009 to 2011, the FDI in Georgia took on upward trend, reaching from 600 million US $ to 1. 1 billion US$. In 2012, the FDI in Georgia decreased moderately to 900 million US $ ; in 2013 the investment slowly climbed to 950 million US$ ; and in 2014, the investment increased dramatically to 1. 3 billion US$, which accounts for 8% of GDP. The given information showed that FDI in Georgia somehow influenced Georgia’s gross domestic product and China had a relatively large demand for Georgia’s goods. Thus to establish China-Georgia free trade zone is feasible and promising.
