There is a big choice of different kinds of e-books covering from science, technology, literature, politics, and philosophy to entertainment journals, etc. Modern technology offers us convenient means to read through personal computers, mobile phones, MP5 and PDAs, etc. So it is very natural for people to raise the question that whether e-books will replace traditional books. Some people believe that the answer is positive and they have reasons thinking that way. In the first place, thanks to the development of information technology, people can store numerous electronic books in one mobile device, which make it a reality that wherever you are you can read, even take some online courses. The heavy books will never be people’s burden any more when they are travelling on business or for fun. Moreover, environmentalists will rejoice with wild excitement because the replacement of e-books means the preservation of valuable forest. Traditional books really use a lot of forest resources. Everybody wants to reduce the paper consumption for the popurse to protect our environment. According to my point of view, I enjoy reading traditional books for the delicate feeling of turning the pages, from which I got a kind of special communication with the great authors. I think most people hold the same idea with me and e-books is only an alternative for some people at sometime.
