The cartoon is a clear reflection of the undeniable gap between dreams of college graduates and the severe employment situation. With growing supply of college graduates, the competition in the job market is becoming increasingly intense. Facing the fierce competition, most graduates would accept whatever jobs they can get. For college graduates, steadily building careers used to be a reliable method of realizing their dreams; however, now the heated competition in the labor market makes it difficult for them to land a satisfactory job, thereby pushing them to have no choice but to postpone their dreams. To bridge the gap between their dreams and career reality, college graduates should learn to treasure their first jobs. They should address discontent and concentrate on experience accumulation, which is a necessary preparation for realization of dreams.
