For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic People Should Be Rewarded According to Ability in three paragraphs. You should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below:
1. 社会上存在着一种现象,在用人时总是论资排辈。
2.年轻人有很多优势。
3.我认为,用人单位应更重视个人能力。
选项
答案
People Should Be Rewarded According to Ability In our society, quite some people feel that people should be rewarded according to their age and experience. Ability is only something. Employers pay the very small sum consistent with keeping a young employee in a job. The young people have to wait for their abilities to be acknowledged and rewarded in due course. It may be ten or twenty years later when the young will be considered old enough to be rewarded properly. Today, young people are ambitious. Many of them are equipped with ’fine education and some have made great success. They show their great abilities in many aspects. So if they are given opportunities to make decisions, they are qualified to promote prosperity and lead to a better society. In my opinion, people should be rewarded according to ability instead of age and experience. If the young people are able, determined, and harder working than old people, they should not be deprived of good jobs and high salaries. The society should recognize ability and reward it fairly. In this way our society can develop smoothly and quickly.
