   R: Which flight did you book on, Mr Hornibrook?
   P: The... er... 11.15 flight, I think. It’ s got it on my ticket.., ah, here we are. Economy class, depart Gatwick 11.15am today, Flight HER260.
   R: I’m afraid you must be mistaken, sir. There’s m flight HER260 due to leave for Crete today.
   P: What? Have I missed it?
   R: Could I see your ticket?
   P: Yes, here you are.
   R: Oh sir ... your ticket was issued for Wednesday May 29th May. Today is Tuesday. The date isn’t printed very clearly on your ticket. I’m afraid you’ve arrived a day early.
   P: Oh no!
   R: Flight HER260 leaves at ten to twelve tomorrow morning.
   P: I don’t believe it! What can I do now?
   R: Well sir, you could either stay overnight and catch tomorrow’s flight, or you could board the Athens plane this evening and get a local connection from Athens to Heraklion. The scheduled Athens flight leaves at 5: 35.
   P: I think I’ll try my luck on the Athens flight. Perhaps you can transfer me to that.
   R: I’ll try, sir...
