答案Why we should Implement a New Sign-Out System Successfully Mainstreaming our clients into the community is very important and daily interaction with the public is necessary. Our clients enjoy the times they get to go to the mall or out to lunch instead of remaining here all day. Recently, however, clients have been taken out on activities without a staff member’s knowing where the client is and whom the client is with. Therefore, in order to keep up the superb reputation our center has earned as a quality center for adults with handicaps, employee should sign out themselves and clients at all times. We need to know where all clients are at all times because social workers, psychologists, and relatives constantly stop by unannounced. Last week Janet’s father stopped by to pick her up for a doctor’s appointment and she was not here. No one knew where she was or whom she was with. Naturally her father was very upset and wanted to know what kind of program we were running. Staff members’ not knowing where our clients are and whom they are with is damaging to the good reputation of our staff and program. Therefore, a sign-out board should be located by Betty’s desk, where employees write down where they and the clients are going and when they expect to be back. When signing out, employees should help clients sign themselves out. We can turn this into a learning experience for our clients. Then when a social worker stops by to see someone who isn’t here, we can simply look at the sign-out board to tell where the client is and when he or she will return.
