答案 Physical activities and intellectual pursuits are the two basic ways in which we spend our leisure time. While most people have an interest in both kinds of pastimes, we also have favourite ways to spend our time off. Physical recreation affords us the opportunity to strengthen our bodies and to satisfy our competitive nature. The activities range from participation in strenuous sports such as running in marathon races, playing basketball, or playing tennis, to slow-paced events like jogging, or a round of golf. Besides physical recreation we have intellectual activities. Activities such as reading a good book, listening to a favorite record, or going to a play, serve to revitalize our mental processes. I prefer a balance of these activities to provide both the physical conditioning and mental stimulation. I need to face a daily grind. For me, physical recreation is necessary for good health but intellectual pursuits such as interesting stories provide the most pleasure.
