Firstly, it deepens the generation gap between the old and the young. Moreover, abbreviation is prone to cause misunderstanding since one abbreviation could have several different interpretations. To conclude, despite the convenience and popularity of abbreviation, we should bear it in mind that we are supposed to use abbreviation rationally and appropriately in our communication.
