One False Step Will Make a Great Difference Have you ever heard of an old saying going like that "one false step can make a great difference"? I believe that most of you must know the similar saying that one false move may lose the game, which indicates that sometimes even a little fault or mistake, can cause greater damage than you could ever imagine. Just as Julius Caesar puts it, important events result from trivial causes in war. Having won a series of victories in continental Europe, extremely arrogant Napoleon started on a dangerous expedition to Russia and he arrayed his troops for battle without taking weather into consideration, which resulted in the defeat of the battle. In addition, for another well-known instance, King Richard fell off the horse during a crucial battle, which leaded to his death and finally the defeat of the battle. It was said that the reason why his horse stumbled and fell was that the blacksmith lacked a nail for the horseshoes prior to the battle. In conclusion, little duties neglected bring great downfalls. Therefore, we should pay attention to details in each thing, including those seemingly trivial, because grave and unforeseen consequences often result from small errors.
