I think we could follow some basic rules to control ourselves. First of all, we could count to ten, when we want to go on an outburst. When we are angry, we might lose our mind and shout at the person in conversation. To count to ten could make our furious steam cool off and return to sanity. In this way, our dialogue will be more sensible, rather than emotional. Secondly, venting our pent-up emotions in a harmless way is also helpful. If we suppress our feelings, we would be a ticking time bomb, which would lead to disastrous consequences when it blows up. That is why we have to release the held-back emotions on a regular basis.
