答案 Have Traditional Chinese Festivals Been Highly Valued? Nowadays we have been celebrating traditional Chinese festivals more frequently than ever before. Each year there are regular traditional holidays and glamorous and magnificent, grand galas to value such festivals. However, can we say proudly that our traditional Chinese festivals have been highly valued? I doubt it. First, it is apparent that the celebration of such festivals is not voluntarily carried out by our government, but they are performed with pressure abroad where some countries have registered seemingly our traditional festivals as their own world heritages. Celebrating grandly our Chinese traditional festivals is a declaration that some so called controversial holidays are definitely ours. Second, nowadays, children and adults are seemingly not well-informed about the rituals of our traditional festivals with the invasion of western cultures. They do not care about and are less enthusiastic about our own traditions. Third, holidays for traditional Chinese festivals are often spent with lot of drinks, food and travels, thus promoting economic thriving. You will be well-informed about the consumptions of goods and travelers flowing in scenic spots and resorts during and after the holidays) however, educational programs for these festivals are rarely seen. Therefore, it is natural to draw a conclusion that traditional Chinese festivals have not been highly valued. It won’t be so until our people young and old are well-educated about these festivals.
