Secondly, the city government should invest money to make people more environmentally conscious. It can sponsor discussion on this topic, and encourage companies to make commonwealth advertisements. Finally, the most important thing the city government should do is to strengthen the supervision of environmental pollution. A Do you think the environment today is cleaner than before? B Yes, of course. But I can only speak for Beijing. Beijing is much cleaner than before. Streets are tidier; rivers are cleaner; air is purer. The government and citizens of Beijing have done much to clean the environment. Three years ago, all taxis were replaced by Xiali or Fukang, which give off less poisonous gases than that of minibuses. People are also more environmentally conscious.
