F: Hi, Eric, this is Jessica Donald from Personnel Department. I have read through your resume and got a few questions to ask you if you don’t mind. First, I need to confirm your date of birth. Is that January 14th, 1971?
M: No, that’s January 15th.
F: And when did you get your BA from Ohio State University?
M: 1994.
F: OK. I see from your application you’ve had quite a lot of experience in office work.
M: Yes, I’ve been in this field for more than six years, in three different firms.
F: You’ve changed firms quite often.
M: Yes, I always want more challenging work — that’s why I’m applying for this post.
F: Good. By the way, do you like traveling? You know, you have to travel a lot with your boss, sometimes overseas.
M: Oh, yes, I love it. I can speak French and German quite fluently.
F: I see from your resume you did reasonably well in typing. How fast can you type?
M: About 200 words per minute.
F: Oh, that’s really fast. Now your initial salary is $1200 for the first three months.
M: OK, in fact, I don’t mind too much about that.
F: All right. Now can you tell me your address?
