   W: I can understand that, but let’s keep focusing on the bright side. I can’t wait for that party.

Step 3 While-listening (6 minutes) Before playing the tape for the first time, remind students that during listening they should not pay much attention to specific words or expressions but all they need to do is to get the main idea of it. After listening, invite some students to tell the class what happened, and why it happened. Then ask students to listen to the dialogue for the second time with a filling task on the blackboard. They need to determine the theme, the schedule, the activities and the invitation letters of this party. Two groups will be invited to share their ideas.
