答案
Should Parents Drive Their Children to and From School? Nowadays more and more parents drive their children to and from school by car. This has aroused a heated debate. Some people support the idea, while others have a negative attitude. Advocates proclaim that it is convenient for parents to send their children to school and pick them up after school by using their own cars as they also need to go out for work every day. What’s more, going to school and going home by car can save a lot of time that children can use for study. In addition, it is also safer considering the heavy traffic. However, other people think it unnecessary for the parents to do so. They think children can learn to be independent through going to school and going home on their own. There is also a concern that children might form a bad habit of showing off and comparing with others. What’s worse, more cars running on the road can cause more serious air pollution and heavier traffic jam. In my opinion, there is truth in the argument of both parties. I would have a balanced view. Parents can decide whether to drive their children to school and pick them up after school according to their own situations.
