When did the United Nations Security Council meet to talk about ways to end violence in Syria?

The residents in the Syrian city of Horns are attending mass funeral processions of the 217 people killed on Friday night by armed Syrian forces. The violence comes as the United Nations Security Council meets today to consider a resolution to end the violence in Syria. Russia will insist on two major amendments. Russia has threatened to veto earlier versions of the resolution and the Obama administration has been pressing it to back a softened version condemning the violence in that country. The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke by telephone on Friday with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov about the resolution. They are due to meet in person on Saturday in Munich, where both are attending a security conference.
