Subject: London Trip
As you requested, I am sending you details of all the trains leaving Glasgow for London on September 5. As you can see, you have the option to take an express train which arrives in London around half an hour faster than any of the regular trains do. When you’ve decided, just let me know, and I’ll take care of the reservations.
Did you say that you also want me to book tickets for Edward Gibbs? Does he require the same tickets as you?
September 5
Train Number 78 (Express) 23 (Regular) 77 (Express) 24 (Regular)

Subject: Re: London Trip Reimbursement
Hi, Brenda.
I really appreciate the time you have taken to organize this trip. I need to arrive in London before 1:30 P. M. so that I can meet up with our representative from the Manchester office and go over our presentation one final time. Therefore, I think I need to take the 7: 24 A. M. train. For my return train, could you please book the earliest one that you mentioned?
Edward plans to leave for London the day after me, September 6. However, we will return together at the same time on September 7. Could you please just book a ticket back to Glasgow for Edward?
In addition, could you give the Manchester office a quick call and find out what hotel they will be staying at? We need to deliver the presentation on sales techniques together, so I’d like to book the same hotel as them so that we can work closely together.
Thanks again, Brenda.
What information is NOT included in Mr. Livingstone’s e-mail?
选项
A、The departure date for Mr. Gibbs
B、The topic of the convention presentation
C、The approximate time he must arrive in London
D、The address of the convention center
答案
D
解析
在Livingstone写的电子邮件的第一段开始部分的“I need to arrive in London before 1:30 P.M.”能确认(C),接着在第二段的“Edward plans to leave for London the day after me,September 6”能确认(A),还有在最后一段的“We need to deliver the presentation on sales techniques together”能确认(B),但没有提及(D),故(D)是正确答案。
