    On radio and TV, advertisers buy lime. They may buy a 30-second or a 1-minute commercial. TV time is very expensive, and it is even more expensive on more popular TV and radio shows. A 30-second commercial might cost $150 000, but if60 million people are watching the program, the cost per person is about 1/4 cent.
    Another way to tell the consumer about a product is by direct-mail advertising. Companies mail advertisements to consumers. These ads are in the mailbox almost every day. They are mailed .directly to the consumer. If advertisers want to sent the ad to everyone in the neighborhood or in the city’, they send the ad to "Occupant" or "Resident".
