问题 设计任务:请阅读下面学生信息和语言素材,设计20分钟的英语听力教学方案。
   教案没有固定格式,但须包含下列要点:
   teaching objectives
   teaching contents
   key and difficult points
   major steps and time allocation
   activities and justifications
   教学时间:20分钟
   学生概况:某城镇普通中学高中一年级学生,班级人数40人。多数学生已经达到《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》五级水平。学生课堂参与积极性一般。
   语言素材:
"Who questions much, shall learn much, and remember much."—Francis Bacon (1561-1626) It seems obvious now how we acquire knowledge and understanding. To start with, you need questions. Then, to find answers, you observe the world around you and study the facts. After that you consider possible answers and test each to find the right ones. Although today we are more accustomed to typing a few key words into a search engine and waiting for the Internet to spit the answer out for us, modern scientists and thinkers are still solving the world’ s problems with this type of analysis—luckily for us.
However, in the 17th century when Francis Bacon suggested that this type of thinking was the way to gain knowledge, he was going against the views of the day. Bacon held an important rank under King James (1566-1625) of England but his true interest was not the day to day bureaucratic details of the government, but the worthy search for knowledge.

答案 Teaching Contents: A listening material about Francis Bacon’s way of analysis to gain knowledge. Teaching Objectives: (1) Knowledge objectives ① Students can remember the famous saying from Francis Bacon—"Who questions much, shall learn much, and remember much." ② Students will learn some new words and expressions, like acquire knowledge, be accustomed to, rank, bureaucratic ... (2) Ability objective Students’ listening ability for general ideas and detailed information can be improved. (3) Emotional objective Students will realize the right way to acquire knowledge and understanding is thinking and analyzing instead of searching online. Teaching Key and Difficult Points: (1) Teaching key point Students can understand the listening material. (2) Teaching difficult point Students’ listening ability for general ideas and detailed information can be trained. Major Steps: Step 1 Warming up (3 minutes) After greeting students, I will write down a sentence on the blackboard—"Only someone who is well-prepared has the opportunity to improvise." I will tell them that it is my motto, and I love it because it reminds me that no one will succeed easily and there are always invisible efforts behind every single piece of success. Later I will ask them if they have any motto and invite them to share with the class why they choose it as their motto. (Justification: Free talking is a quick way to get students involved in the class, especially when the talking is supposed to be based on their own life experience.) Step 2 Pre-listening (5 minutes) (1) I will present a famous essay "ON STUDIES" which they have learned before to remind them of this marvelous author—Francis Bacon. And then with the help of a short video, I will make a brief introduction about Francis Bacon to let students know him as an English philosopher, statesman, scientist, jurist, orator, and author. Besides his academical achievement, the students will also be reminded about his life serving both as Attorney General and as Lord Chancellor of England. After introduction, I will invite some students to re-introduce him again. (2) I will teach some new words which they will encounter in the following listening material, such as acquire knowledge, be accustomed to, rank, bureaucratic ... (Justification: Two activities are designed in this step to make sure there are enough background information and little difficult words for students to understand this article.) Step 3 While-listening (8 minutes) (1) I will play the tape once. And before they are ready, I will remind them that during listening, they should not pay much attention to any specific words or expressions and all they need to do is to get the main idea of it. (2) I will ask students to look at the blackboard, and remind them that they need to fill in the blanks later, then I play the tape for the second time. To acquire knowledge l. WHAT "Who______much, shall______much, and______much."—Francis Bacon 2. HOW To start with, you need______. Then, to find answers, you______the world around you and______the facts. After that you______possible answers and______to find the right ones. (3) I will ask some questions in advance: Are modern scientists and thinkers still solving the world’ s problems with Francis’ type of analysis? What is Francis’ real interest? Then I play the tape for the third time. (Justification: Listening for the first time is to train students’ listening ability for gist and the second time is to train their listening ability for detailed information. And the third time is to make sure the students can process the information that they have heard.) Step 4 Post-listening (4 minutes) (1) I will divide them into groups of 4 to have a discussion about Francis’ way of analysis. Then I will choose two groups to present their answers. (2) I will leave a discussion question: What do you think is the best way to acquire knowledge? (Justification: The first activity is to make sure students get the idea of the listening material. The second activity is to provide students with a chance to express themselves under the above topic.)
