Should Class Attendance Be Strictly Required in College? (1)When many college students come into a university and begin an independent life for the first time, they are so attracted by the colorful world that attending cl ass is no longer the priority to them. So many people think th at class attendance should be strictly required in college.(2)However, I do not think that there is a necessity to make class attendance mandatory in universities. (3)Among many factors which influence my choice, there are three conspicuous aspects as follows.(4)Firstly, students are no longer children by the time they enter universities. As growing-up adults, they should learn how to manage their time properly and take responsibility for their own actions.(5)Secondly, the knowledge that a college student needs is not limited to books and classes any more. College students should not only put what they have learnt into the social practice, but also learn how to communicate and cooperate with other people outside the campus.(6)Thirdly, some courses in the university are too outdated and useless to attract the students. (7)In conclusion, rather than setting rigid requirement to the class attendance, universities should think about how to reform their curriculum to help their students get prepared for the future life.
