    So one day the girl went into a field to show the skylark. "I’ll show them. "She thought, "I’ll show the skylarks. I can sing quite as well as they can. Everyone says so. So that’s how it must be. "
    Very soon she saw a dull(呆滞的) brown skylark. The little girl smoothed out her blue-and-yellow blouse. "My goodness!"She thought,"doesn’t look important. "
    The skylark walked along the ground,then she ran a little way. "Why,she doesn’t even jump,"thought the little girl. "What a VERY dull bird she is indeed. "And she cleared her throat(嗓子)，getting ready to sing.
    Suddenly the lark leaped into the air. Beating her strong wings up,she flew,head to her wing. And she sang!
