Graduates have grown to see it as a lifelong secure position with guaranteed health care, decent salary and social recognition. Many people even give up the much-higher-paid occupations in big companies to enroll for the civil servant qualification examination. Typically several hundred applicants will apply for one hot post; in some cases the ratio even rises to several thousand to one as is shown in the cartoon. Nevertheless, is this the best choice for the graduates who have received four-year higher education? I don’t believe so. College students should have a discerning mind in deciding their future career. So it is necessary for graduates to keep a cool head, make an analysis and find a job that matches his/her interest and personality.
