答案 The cartoon presents a ridiculous confrontation between a goalkeeper and a ball player. As can clearly be seen, both sides exaggerate the power of the opposite, with the ball player thinking the goalkeeper is so huge that his chance of scoring is slim and the goalkeeper thinking the goal is too big for him to save. Under overwhelming pressure, self-confidence, no doubt, turns its back upon the two men. What the picture conveys is that people tend to underrate themselves while tackling tough tasks, just like the two men in the cartoon. However, we now live in a world full of difficulties and challenges, and the lack of confidence may block our way forward. Firstly, we will be engulfed by fear and worry, thereby standing in the dark. Secondly, chances of winning may pass us by due to the lack of confidence. Consequently, to grab success, we must believe in ourselves. My point can be well exemplified by the following example of Helen Keller. Although tortured by disease, Helen, a deaf-blind person, earned a bachelor’s degree and published 12 books. She once said, "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. " This case unveils a simple but significant truth: confidence is an indispensable key to success. So be courageous and knock down the enemy within yourself.

    第一段：描述图画。指出双方队员皆因缺乏自信而高估了对手，低估了自己。
    第二段：揭示寓意。首先点出图画主题，然后分析缺乏自信会引发怎样的后果，譬如受困于黑暗之中、与成功擦肩而过等。
    第三段：举例说明，充实论据。最好选用中外较为有名且具有代表性的人物实例。举例不宜过多，一到两个即可。
