答案 I appreciate these college students’ spirit of joining the vegetarian group, but I don’t agree with them. According to them, they stop eating meat with the hope of blocking the development of the stockbreeding industry, which destroys the environment and kills other creatures. But I don’t think their act is a win-win solution. First, sufficient and proportional nutrition is the key to maintain health. A large amount of research demonstrates that meat provides valuable nutrition and is especially important for students who have to shoulder heavy academic burdens in colleges. So we should eat some meat each day to have enough protein, which is good for our health. Second, we need more practical and sensible measures to protect the environment. The harshest risks to our environment are industrial pollution, deforestation and automobile exhaust. I don’t think cutting animal products out of our lives could be tremendously helpful.
