W: I’m really concerned about Jason, Mike. His snoring is getting worse and worse.
M: Maybe he needs to go see a doctor, Jane. I know my brother tended to snore when we lived in the same bedroom, but I don’t know it is getting worse. I heard that sometimes a bad snore can cause heart failure because not enough oxygen gets to the brain.
W: That’s what I’m worried about. Sometimes it even seems like he stops breathing and I have to give him a push to make him start again.
M: I remember one of my father’s friends had the same problem. The doctor said it was sleep apnea. He had to get a pacemaker put in so that his heart wouldn’t stop in the middle of the night.
W: You’re kidding me! That serious?
M: Yes, that serious.
W: That’s it! I’m making an appointment for Jason to see the doctor this afternoon. We can’t let this go any longer.
M: Yeah, please do. If there is anything serious, please let me or my parents know as soon as possible.
