答案 The picture tells us a vivid story: two competitors are fighting for a big apple in the middle of a platform high above a steep hill. Unfortunately, both of them are tied to the different ends of the same string. If one manages to move a step closer, his opponent will surely be one step backward and may probably fall down, and vice versa. Clearly, neither of them would get the apple if they do not cooperate and find a workable way to share it. The same can be said to our life. If we want to complete our work effectively and efficiently in this busy, modern world, we must all learn to cooperate with each other. In our society, most tasks demand the cooperation of many individuals to accomplish efficiently. In a win-win situation, we must learn to be supportive and cooperative. Besides, as the transportation and communication system is rapidly developing, people all over the world can get in touch with each other more easily. It is hard for a person who is isolated from the society to have a deep understanding of the world he lives in and to accomplish a feat in his career. Therefore, cooperation is becoming increasingly important for a person to earn a full life in a modern society. From what mentioned above, we can draw a conclusion that it is very shortsighted and out-dated for some people to believe that their success can be achieved at the cost of the fall(on the part)of their opponents, and only when we cooperate with others can we reach the win-win situation.
