答案
Do Not Invite Self-destruction The earth has been nurturing human beings for generations, providing us with abundant resources that make us survive and prosper. However, as Gandhi once put it, "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed." It is well established that as a result of people’s limitless greed, the earth will not benefit our offspring in the future. Blinded by greed, we often take it for granted that "I came, I saw, I conquered." However, instead of being conquered, the earth is taking revenge on human beings. For instance, the drought and flood disasters are occurring more frequently nowadays as a result of excessive deforestation. What’s more, sandstorms, thick fog and haze as well as other extreme weather are happening from time to time. As far as I am concerned, to avoid a fatal destiny, human beings should adhere to a faith that we should not yield to the temptation of material interest, but attach great importance to long-term benefit and sustainable development for the sake of our descendants. Otherwise, we are bound to face a day of dreadful consequences and even self-destruction.
