The cartoon depicts the phenomenon of the gradual loss of social morality. For one thing, there’s quite a few people are becoming selfish and egocentric who put self-interest in the first place and tend to overlook others’ benefit or feelings. That being said, they won’t do good for anyone unless they could get something out of it. Moreover, this phenomenon can also be attributed to people’s concern that their social morality will sometimes result in unnecessary trouble. At last, the whole society lacks a social climate to do good. However, no one can deny the importance of social morality. People equipped with the awareness of social morality are more likely to give others a hand, which is conducive to the harmony of society.
